Michael Silverman

Director – Retail Leasing

Michael Silverman, Director of Retail Leasing with The Comras Company, overseas various landlord and tenant representation assignments throughout South Florida and has been with the Comras Company since the Summer of 2011.

Mr. Silverman has been involved in real estate leasing and development since 2004, commencing his career with Matthews Ventures Holdings, an Office/Hotel developer in Palm Beach, Florida. From there, Mr. Silverman joined KMC Construction in 2007, as a project manager, building hotels in Palm Beach and Broward County, before returning to school in 2009 to pursue an MBA.

Mr. Silverman oversees the South Florida interest of national and regional retailers such as European Wax Center, Jugofresh, Barry’s Bootcamp, Liberty Entertainment Group, Eberjey and many others; closing deals from Miami-Dade County to Palm Beach County.

Additionally, Mr. Silverman handles landlord representation assignments throughout South Florida. Most recently, Mr. Silverman and the Company were hired by Integra Investments as the exclusive leasing agent for Aventura ParkSquare, an approximate 500,000 square foot mixed-use development with 50,000 SF of retail space.  As the exclusive leasing agent for the property, Mr. Silverman has assisted with the design aspect of the project and has been instrumental in helping curate the “Fit City” concept at the project by bringing the Developer’s vision to reality. The project is scheduled to turnover to Tenants in Q1 2018 with a roster that includes Barry’s Bootcamp, Cyclehouse, Solidcore, Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen, Bar Taco, etc…The project is now 95% leased.

Mr. Silverman has also worked on other projects such as The Continuum in Miami Beach, a 24,000 square foot retail and restaurant property in the “South of Fifth” neighborhood, anchored by a 12,000 square foot CIBO Wine Bar restaurant, the Shoppes of West Avenue, an approximate 20,000 square foot retail center located at 959 West Avenue, the repositioning and lease up of 1500 Washington Avenue, an approximate 7,500 SF multi-tenant restaurant property along with countless other properties in the South Florida market.

One of Mr. Silverman’s most recent leasing assignments is Uptown Biscayne, a mixed-use development in North Miami with approx.. 170,000 SF of retail and restaurant space on two levels. Mr. Silverman, along with Jeff Evans has begun the initial marketing efforts and is currently negotiating multiple initial LOI’s which they hope to move to lease by Q1/Q2 2017.

Silverman received an MBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business in 2011. He has been a licensed Real Estate Associate since 2004 and has served on the ICSC Next Generation council since 2012 and the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce since 2015.
