The company plans to open in 2015, Comras said, marking its first foray into the Southeast. Le Pain Quotidien, which means “The Daily Bread,” in French, has a total of more than 200 locations, including in the New York area, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Connecticut and Philadelphia. It also has locations in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, India, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Founded by Alain Coumont in Brussels in 1990, Le Pain Quotidien serves breakfast, brunch and lunch and dinner in some locations. Made with organic ingredients whenever possible, its menu includes soups, salads, signature tartines, homemade pastries and artisanal bread. The menu includes many vegan and vegetarian options.
