Jul 27 2021

Cosmetics retailer Sephora has applied for a construction permit to build a large store at Miami Worldcenter, city records show.

The construction permit filing is the latest sign of momentum building for Worldcenter’s retail space.

The Sephora at Miami Worldcenter will have 6,150 square feet of space with 14-foot ceilings, the July 7 application states.

Total construction cost is estimated at $600,000.

The store will be located in a 12-story mixed-use building known as Block H that sits next to a pedestrian promenade.

Sephora already has locations at both Brickell City Centre and the Design District. The store at Brickell City Centre is relatively small with a limited selection.

Across the street at Worldcenter’s Caoba tower, a separate construction permit now pending to build a restaurant.

The restaurant will occupy 4,200 square feet of space, and will cost $369,500.00 to build out. The permit was applied for in May.

Worldcenter’s developers have announced that Laurel, a French brasserie with Cuban influence by James Beard award winning Miami Chef Michael Beltran’s Ariete Hospitality Group, will occupy 2,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor space at Caoba and the adjacent pedestrian promenade.
